MORE ABOUT ME

Food and nutrition have always been an important part of my life, and became my professional life when I realized I could use my knowledge, experience and passion to make a difference in the lives of others. I believe that nutrition is the foundation of a healthy lifestyle and integral to both disease prevention and intervention. As a registered dietitian, I have years of experience specializing in adult weight management, integrative and functional nutrition, sports nutrition, diabetes management, food allergies and sensitivities, wellness education, and customized meal planning.

Why Keto?  I came to keto initially as a skeptic.  I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (an autoimmune hypothyroid condition) when I was 12.  Medication managed my condition with no complications through an adolescent and subsequent collegiate swimming career, 3 pregnancies, 1 divorce, and a boat load of stress.  In my late-thirties, the "autoimmune" aspect of my condition started to become prevalent.  I became intolerant to many favorite foods and despite all my best professional efforts at elimination diets, I was still miserable.

I decided to give keto a try; what did I have to lose?  As an RD I had certainly heard enough about keto to get myself going but was limited to anecdotal information I found on the internet for more guidance.  My first trial failed miserably!  I felt limited in my food choices and didn’t think I could sustain my level of activity without carbs in my life (man, was I wrong!).  Through trial and error, I have learned so much and have been able to share this knowledge and experience with my clients.  Eat Your Keto is more than a meal plan, it is a guided and supported lifestyle journey to help you achieve your best you.
